Jero Papier, nostalgia in Den Haag.
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to make a photo-reportage about Jero Papier in Binckhorst, Den Haag.
They have been producing paper trays for patisseries and butchers since 1913, and as romantics as they are, they still use the same old machinery.
Going into the factory is like steeping back 75 years into a place full of nostalgia, character and good vibrations.
Definitely the best part was having the chance to meet Sandro and his family, half Dutch and half Italian, who have been running this place for some decades now.
They are full of positive energy, that gets into you as soon as you meet them, and specially after eating one of Sandro’s pasta dishes, that he daily cooks in a small kitchenette by their office.
I surely hope there are a lot more years to come for Jero Papier.
